Flash Player Issues - Chrome

We have identified a bug in Chrome browser where viewers attempt to play an episode but are presented with a message asking to ensure Adobe Flash Player is installed. On inspection, Adobe Flash is installed and up to date.

This can occur if Chrome is set to either block Flash, or ask the user when to allow Flash. Unfortunately, this bug prevents the browser from asking the viewer to allow for this site.

To work around this, you can enable Flash for the My5 site in Chrome by completing the following steps:

  • Select the ‘view site information’ icon next to the URL in the browser (see image below).
  • In the drop-down menu, navigate to 'Flash'.
  • Select the downward arrow next to the right of Flash and select ‘Always allow on this site’.
