Playback failure on Amazon Fire TV devices

We are currently investigating reports of playback failures on Amazon Fire TV devices whereby playback fails after a few minutes.

The problem seems to be affecting those using the latest version of the My5 app (v.3.0.0.2100064133) on Fire TV devices and we are working to understand what is causing playback to fail in these circumstances.
