To switch on subtitles on 5:
- Click the play button to start playback.
- Hover your mouse over the video player.
- Click the icon to switch on subtitles. The icon should appear faded out when subtitles aren't active and yellow when they are.
- To switch off subtitles, click the icon again

Show subtitles if available can be enabled in settings :-

Navigate to the Settings option at the bottom of the left-hand menu
Select Accessibility Settings

Toggle the Subtitles button to turn them On or Off
When Subtitles are enabled, the button will state 'Turn off subtitles'
Missing Subtitles icon
Some shows are not subtitled, and subtitles are only provided on selected devices.
