We are afraid that open signing can't be switched off on digital terrestrial television. We are complying with a compulsory requirement of the Broadcasting Act and Ofcom to meet a specified quota of signed programmes.
In future it is hoped to transmit the signing separately, also known as closed signing, but the equipment and technology are not available at the moment.
