To ensure our 5 app performs as best as possible across all Samsung TVs, sometimes we need to close down access to earlier models that are running an older version of Samsung’s operating system.
From Wednesday 21st October 2020, we will be closing down access to 5 on 2012 Samsung TVs and Samsung Blu-ray devices (see below table).

Samsung have confirmed that the 5 app will be uninstalled and no longer available on devices affected by this shutdown.
If you are using a Samsung TV built after 2012 and are having problems opening the 5 app, you may just need to update the app. Details of how to do this can be found in your TV's operating manual as the process varies from model to model.
