If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) limits your data allowance, you'll need to keep track of your usage. It's difficult to provide precise estimates for streaming media because consumption is affected by a variety of factors.
In general, we suggest that you allow 500MB to 750MB of data per hour of streamed Standard Definition (SD) video. A typical movie will consume around 1.5GB to 2GB of your allowance.
Please note: this does not include data used for other activities, such as web browsing.
Tracking data usage
To keep track of your usage, please download a data usage metering application for your device. On some devices, you can track data usage in your device settings screens.
If you connect to the internet through a router, data usage may be recorded in your router control panel software.
