It can sometimes take up to 48 hours after broadcast for subtitles to become available on 5. This means that for some of our most recent shows you may see the subtitles button, but when you click on it the subtitles don't appear.
We are working with our content providers to improve this process so that subtitles are available sooner.
In the meantime, if this happens to you, please wait until 48 hours after the show was first broadcast and try again.
